About the collection
The painting, “The Garden of Earthly Delights”, has always captured Addy van den Krommenacker’s interest. There are definitely a lot of contradictions found among the masterpieces of Hieronymus Bosch, where it became a challenge for him to design this collection. The collection itself is divided into three parts. The dark shades of green, representing the forests in the painting. The blue shades come from the heaven skies of the painting and the red shades from the eagerness shades of hell, which are all very noticeable in the collection. In the Heaven section of the collection, you would find materials like chiffon, silk organza, representing the skies and tulle representing the clouds. Forest stands for more sober materials and lastly, more fiery colored silk organzas represent Hell.
In the collection, Addy van den Krommenacker also created three shawls made from fine silk, each with a different concept but are all found in the painting. One, where it shows the Forest section, the other where it represents the Heavenly skies and the third one, showcasing The Egg, core and the concept of propagation and educating children.
